Do you like chocolate? That’s good! Now imagine a whole museum of chocolate!<\/p>\n
Today we write about the chocolate museum which is located in the ancient convent of Saint Augustine, in Comer\u00e7 Street 36. The Chocolate Museum is an initiative of the Confectionery Guild of Barcelona<\/strong>.<\/p>\n
The Chocolate Museum, in addition to produce us really desire to eat, presents a tour of the origins of chocolate, its arrival in Europe and its spread as an element located between myth and reality, between the medicinal and nutritional value, that tradition associated with future and are part of our collective imagination.<\/p>\n
It is especially important that the Chocolate Museum were located in Barcelona because chocolate has had an important role in the economic and social fabric of our city since the Fifteenth century. In fact, the port of Barcelona served as starting point for the product for marketing and distribution in Europe.<\/p>\n
Besides visiting the museum, there are many activities related to chocolate. One that has drawn special attention is the “chocolate tasting”, which gives all the information needed to distinguish the different varieties of chocolate, whether in solid or liquid.<\/p>\n
