And the question that you&#8217;ll do is typical: how to get to Montserrat? Well &#8230; Because there are several ways to get to Montserrat, we decided to dedicate an entire post to this topic.<\/p>\n<h3>Get to Montserrat by &#8216;Cremallera&#8217;, the  most typical option.<\/h3>\n<p>Sure you have heard many times about the &#8220;Cremallera&#8221; of Montserrat. It is a very famous transport here!. The <em>Cremallera<\/em> railway (zipper) is known by this name because of the shape of the chains that bind the soil and allow access (similar to a zipper).<\/p>\n<p>The <em>Cremallera<\/em> is caught in Monistrol de Montserrat. <em>Cremallera<\/em> pass very often (every 20 minutes) and the journey takes 15 minutes. The ticket price is 8.60\u20ac (go and return)<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><a href=\"http:\/\/barcelonacityblog.com\/bcn\/wp-content\/uploads\/como-llegar1.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\" wp-image-2174 aligncenter\" title=\"How to get to Montserrat?\" alt=\"How to get to Montserrat?\" src=\"http:\/\/barcelonacityblog.com\/bcn\/wp-content\/uploads\/como-llegar1-1024x768.jpg\" width=\"80%\" height=\"80%\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>And now you may ask yourself. And <strong>how do I get to Montserrat Monistrol to catch Cremallera?<\/strong>. You have two options: by car, and you park in a free parking for over 900 seats. Or by train from Barcelona. You take the Ferrocarriles de la Generalitat (FGC) in Pla\u00e7a Espanya (R5 Line Barcelona-Manresa) running every hour.<!--more--><\/p>\n<h3>Get to Montserrat by bus.<\/h3>\n<p>You can catch a bus in Barcelona Street Viriato (next to Sants Estacio). The bus to go to Barcelona Montserrat leaves at 9.15 am and returns from Montserrat at 5 PM (October to May) and at 6 pm (rest of year).<br \/>\nThe price of going by coach to Montserrat is \u20ac 4.75 each way and can get information at 93 261 58 58.<\/p>\n<h3>Get to Montserrat by car.<\/h3>\n<p>If you are one of those who do not separate yourself from your car, or you bring your new car to bless Montserrat, do not worry. Montserrat has a car park to get there in your private vehicle. The first two hours of parking are free of Montserrat. From the third hour costs \u20ac 5.50.<\/p>\n<h3>Get to Montserrat by telef\u00e9rico.<\/h3>\n<p>If you like heights, do not miss the experience of coming to Montserrat cable car (better known as the <em>Aeri de Montserrat<\/em>).<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><a href=\"http:\/\/barcelonacityblog.com\/bcn\/wp-content\/uploads\/como-llegar2.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\" wp-image-2175 aligncenter\" title=\"How to get to Montserrat?\" alt=\"How to get to Montserrat?\" src=\"http:\/\/barcelonacityblog.com\/bcn\/wp-content\/uploads\/como-llegar2-1024x768.jpg\" width=\"80%\" height=\"80%\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Montserrat cable car was opened in 1930, makes a journey of 1,350 m with an average speed of 5 m \/ s. During the trip (5 minutes) you can admire the magnificent scenery and glimpse some of the splendid monuments of monumental Rosario. Every 15 minutes there is a cabin. The round trip ticket is priced at 10 \u20ac.<\/p>\n<h3>Get to Montserrat on foot.<\/h3>\n<p>If you love the mountains, hiking or like walking, climbing to Montserrat walk is also a great choice. There are several ways and shortcuts to Montserrat walk, always departing from Monistrol Montserrat (remember that there you can get there by car and free parking).
