It&#8217;s a real shame, because it is beautiful building designed by Gaud\u00ed and it is located in the city center.<\/p>\n<p>The building stood out for its innovative conception of space and light. Also, one of the main features of the <strong>Palau G\u00fcell is that it was one of the first important works commissioned Gaud\u00ed. <\/strong>Moreover, it is a superb example of domestic architecture. Eusebi G\u00fcell (industrial, political and patron) ordered this peculiar urban palace to Gaud\u00ed because he wanted an extension of their family located in La Rambla of Barcelona.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"http:\/\/media-cache-ak0.pinimg.com\/736x\/90\/cd\/1a\/90cd1a2beb89b85e09ce244334f07316.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"375\" height=\"500\" \/><\/p>\n<p>The most striking part is the G\u00fcell Palace and its rooftop terrace, quite striking, with outstanding 14 fireplaces. It also stresses the high needle-shaped lantern which is the outside shot of the dome of the central hall, also made \u200b\u200bof ceramic and topped with a weathervane lightning rod-iron, containing the compass rose, a bat and a Greek cross.<\/p>\n<p>On the roof of Palau G\u00fcell was where I first Antoni Gaud\u00ed chimneys designed as sculptural elements, sinuous forms, and some of them coated using the technique of &#8220;Trencad\u00eds&#8221;.<\/p>\n<p><strong>As happens in <a title=\"Summer nights in La Pedrera (Casa Mil\u00e0)\" href=\"http:\/\/barcelonacityblog.com\/bcn\/en\/2013\/08\/04\/summer-nights-in-la-pedrera-casa-mila\/\">La Pedrera<\/a> or <a title=\"Nights in Bellesguard Gaud\u00ed, an experience you should enjoy this summer\" href=\"http:\/\/barcelonacityblog.com\/bcn\/en\/2014\/06\/20\/nights-bellesguard-gaudi-experience-enjoy-summer\/\">Torre Bellesguard<\/a>, also in the Palau G\u00fcell summer night makes visits and jazz concerts.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>More information and tickets at the official website: <a href=\"http:\/\/www.palauguell.cat\">www.palauguell.cat<\/a><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Even there are many people who do not know Palau G\u00fcell and do not visit it.
